Club Tag Team Competition at the World Taekwondo Grand Prix

Tag team 300x240
This year’s National Taekwondo Championships are fast approaching (12/13 September, Manchester) and there’s a great incentive for Taekwondo clubs across the country to have the chance to fight at the World Taekwondo Grand Prix a month later!

The top two winning teams at the National Championships, in each of the Cadet, Junior & Senior divisions, across the whole National Championship event, will be invited to enter a Tag Team into the Grand Prix nightly show, competing in front of a big audience on the biggest stage!

Even more reason for clubs to get as many athletes into the Nationals, gaining valuable team ranking points and some great rewards. Every competitor entered from a club contributes towards the team rankings and helps towards the goal of being crowned overall Club Champions 2015.

As always the elite and more experienced athletes will be battling it out in the advanced competition on the Saturday. There are going to be some outstanding matches, with many of the GB squad also taking part.

On the Sunday however, it’s a different story, as it’s is all about participation, gaining experience and rewarding talent through the novice competitions (no grades permitted over 3rd Kup). Some of the 76 categories available have previously only contained a few entries – giving people great chances to grab a National Championship medal!
