Confirmed Grand Prix Stars Return Home to Liverpool to Kick Start Cashino Gaming Centre Re-opening

GB Taekwondo stars Bianca Walkden, 22, and Martin Stamper, 27, who both hail from Liverpool, were back in their hometown this weekend for special appearance at the Cashino Gaming Centre on Williamson Street. The confirmed Grand Prix athletes were there to mark the official reopening of the new look centre following a £100,000 refurbishment.

Cashino, which operates 160 gaming centres across the UK, is a major sponsor of the GB Taekwondo team and is also sponsoring the inaugural World Taekwondo Grand Prix.

Bianca and Martin have competed in the martial art since a young age, with a string of UK and international competition wins under their belts. They will both be competing in the Grand Prix on Friday and Sunday respectively.

Of the Cashino re-opening and Grand Prix, Walkden said: “It’s great to be able to attend a local event like this and meet fans in Liverpool. Cashino and the whole North West have been so supportive of the GB Taekwondo team and it’s brilliant to have the first-ever World Grand Prix in the region.”
